Zone 5 of the Greater Accra Regional Branch of the Ghana National Association of Garages has held its annual graduation ceremony with a firm commitment to integrating technological trends into vehicle maintenance and repair.

The event, held at the Zone 5 premises in Accra on Thursday, August 2, 2026, saw 14 mechanics receive certificates and blessings after undergoing years of training at some of the country’s finest garages.

In his opening speech, Seth Kwabla Klugah congratulated the graduands on the dedication and commitment they demonstrated throughout the training period.

He noted that the colourful and exciting ceremony, which marked the climax of months of knowledge impartation and capacity building for the budding mechanics, represented the high level of professionalism embraced by members of Zone 5.

He urged the graduands to go out and serve as ambassadors for mechanics across the country, particularly those of Zone 5, as the zone continues to strengthen its reputation as a reliable and professional centre for grooming the next generation of mechanics and technicians.

An executive from the Applied Technical Institute, formerly known as the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI), said the graduands had been set on a path to success through the training they received.

He urged them to remain committed to learning, apply the knowledge acquired during their training effectively and ensure that Ghanaians who patronise their services receive excellent service.

As the world shifts towards digitalisation and technological innovation, he encouraged the graduands to embrace recent developments and incorporate them into their work.

He emphasised that technology was designed to improve efficiency and effectiveness, adding that integrating modern technological trends into their work was essential for sustainability and growth.

The event also witnessed the recognition and honouring of some past and current executives of Zone 5 who have played instrumental roles in positioning the zone as a reputable destination for automotive and mechanical services in the country.

Each of the 14 graduands received certificates and testimonials in recognition of the industry, brilliance and dedication they demonstrated during their training.

The graduands are Emmanuel Amornotey, Bismark Arhin, Wisdom Klu, Michael Opoku, Yaw Tweneboah, Rufai Ibrahim, Evans Amekudzi, Collins Asiedu, Christian Adofo, Emmanuel Titi, Ebenezer Boateng, Paul Tsyawo, Eliyasu Issaka and Godwin Nyamevor.
