Ashanti Gold S.C head coach Karim Zito has thrown his support behind Kwasi Sibo, saying footballers must fight for their financial interests.
Zito, speaking with 3Sports, said he believes the main purpose of playing football is to earn money and secure a better future for players and their families.
“I’m 100% behind Kwasi Sibo. If you don’t fight for yourself now, nobody will fight for you,” he said.

He also criticised the failure to fulfil promises made to former Black Stars players, including promises of houses after Ghana’s AFCON triumphs.
“Even when Ghana won the AFCON, they promised to be given houses; it did not come. What is the motive of playing football?” Zito questioned.
