Personnel from the Offinso Fire Service has successfully rescued a young boy who got his leg stuck inside a heavy metal drain grate.

In a video shared on X and sited by GhanaWeb on August, 15, 2026, the incident unfolded after local emergency responders received a distress call regarding the child's situation.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters found the boy stuck on the pavement, unable to free one of his legs trapped between the metal bars of the gutter.

A crowd of onlookers and community members gathered as the rescue team set up heavy-duty hydraulic rescue equipment.

Firefighters carefully positioned hydraulic spreaders against the metal bars to widen the gap without causing injury to the distressed child. The boy's leg was safely extracted without further harm.
