John Ntim Fordjour, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin South, has reportedly facilitated the bail of Apostle Daniel JY Adjei after he was arrested over alleged derogatory comments about Prophet Mohammed.

In a video sighted by classfmonline.com, Fordjour was seen at the Police Headquarters in Cantoments, Accra, with Apostle Daniel JY Adjei standing to his left, alongside others from both the Muslim and Christian faiths.

NPP member and lawyer Kwesi Botchwey Jr was also present.

Addressing the media, Fordjour said the issues surrounding the controversy had been resolved amicably.

He appealed to Christians and Muslims to maintain peace and live together, emphasising their shared Ghanaian identity.

“We've solved everything, so let's maintain the peace. Christians and Muslims, we are all one people. Let's continue to stay together as one. Let's all be one and live cordially. There's no problem. By God's grace, peace has been achieved, and we have dealt with everything accordingly. Thank you,” he said.

He subsequently thanked a Muslim man he identified only as Alhaji and shook hands with him.
