A viral video has captured a Muslim man slapping Apostle Daniel Junior Yaw Adjei while he was in handcuffs at the Police headquarters in Accra.
The pastor, who was arrested for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Islam, was captured among some Muslims at the Police headquarters.
One of the them was captured slapping the pastor from behind while cautioning him over his alleged remarks against Islam.
In a subsequent video, the same man was seen interrogating the pastor over his comments.
He stressed the need for religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians, while warning against statements that could inflame tensions between the two religious communities.
“We are peacemakers. The man who said we should kill. You see, the Office of the Chief Imam has called for his arrest,” the man said.
“If we are not at the Police headquarters, if it is outside within the Muslim jurisdiction, will you even open your mouth? We should respect ourselves,” he said.

He further challenged the pastor to consider whether Muslims had similarly disrespected Jesus Christ, stressing that religious figures and beliefs must be treated with respect.
“Prophet Muhammad, have you ever seen any Muslim disrespecting your Jesus? Do you know Jesus very well? Do you know much about Jesus?” he asked.
He also rejected the pastor’s attempt to justify his alleged comments by referring to insults against Christians by some Muslims.
Meanwhile, the Founder of Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, has called on the Ghana Police Service to arrest the Muslim man captured in the viral video allegedly slapping Apostle Daniel Junior Yaw Adjei at the Police headquarters.
Prophet Gaisie said although he does not condone or support violence, nobody should take the law into their own hands or abuse others under the guise of religion.
In a social media post on August 13, 2026, the preacher called on the Police to arrest the man before Sunday.
