Cristiano Ronaldo has married his long-time partner Georgina Rodriguez in a private civil ceremony in Portugal, bringing an end to years of speculation about the couple’s relationship status.
The 41-year-old football superstar and Rodriguez, who have been together since meeting in Madrid in 2016, exchanged vows in Cascais, a coastal town west of Lisbon in Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
The intimate ceremony was attended by their five children.
Ronaldo confirmed the marriage on Instagram by sharing a photograph of his and Rodriguez’s hands displaying their wedding rings. He accompanied the image with a simple caption: “C and G.
The couple are parents to twins Eva Maria and Mateo, daughter Alana, and daughter Bella. Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Jr, is also part of the family.
Their family previously suffered a devastating loss in 2022 when Bella’s twin brother, Angel, died shortly after birth.
Rodriguez and Ronaldo have remained one of football’s most high-profile couples since their relationship began nearly a decade ago, with their personal lives featuring prominently in Rodriguez’s Netflix reality series, I Am Georgina.
In the series, Ronaldo reflected on how their relationship developed, admitting that Rodriguez initially stood out to him because of her personality and maturity.
The wedding comes just days before Ronaldo is expected to begin a new season with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.
