IGNITE Social Enterprise on Friday, August 7, 2026, announced the appointment of Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, widely known as Bola Ray, to its global advisory board as part of a broader strategic partnership to support IGNITE's expansion across Sub-Saharan Africa.

The announcement also marks IGNITE's official entry into Sub-Saharan Africa, with Ghana identified as one of the company's frontier markets.

Bola Ray joins an advisory group that includes Dr Konstantin Korotkov, Dr Beverly Rubik, and Dato Sri Subahan Kamal, whose combined expertise spans science, governance, business leadership, and international visibility.

According to IGNITE's advisory board profile, the board is intended to strengthen strategic guidance, institutional credibility, and responsible international growth as the company expands into new markets.

As one of Ghana's most respected media entrepreneurs and business leaders, Bola Ray brings more than two decades of experience in broadcasting, brand building, entertainment, and strategic influence across Africa.

He is CEO of EIB Network Group and Empire Entertainment, and his career includes becoming the first African to host Top of the Pops on BBC Radio and leading Joy FM's Drive Time Show to major national influence.

"Young people and micro-entrepreneurs across Ghana and Sub-Saharan Africa are already shaping the future of business, culture, and technology," said Bola Ray.

"What many still need are the practical tools, trusted partners, and global platforms to turn their talent into sustainable opportunity. IGNITE's social e-commerce model featuring best-in-class lifestyle and wellness products, combined with brAInify's AI-powered learning, gives the next generation a way to build brands, earn income, and gain realworld skills from wherever they are. I am honoured to join the Global Advisory Board and excited to help ensure that this opportunity reaches youth and micro-entrepreneurs in every corner of the continent."

IGNITE enters the region with a people-first social e-commerce model that combines wellness and lifestyle products with digital learning and entrepreneurship pathways.

Central to that offer is brAInify, IGNITE's AI-powered learning and skills platform that helps everyday people build practical digital, business, and financial capabilities at their own pace, supporting Ghana's vision for a more skills-driven, opportunity-rich and 24hour economy.

The company said its regional approach will emphasise responsible growth, market education, and transparent engagement with stakeholders.

IGNITE also underscored its commitment to compliance, consumer protection, and constructive partnership with relevant regulators and public institutions as it expands across Ghana and the wider Sub-Saharan African market.

"Sub-Saharan Africa is one of the most dynamic regions in the world, with a young, connected population and a powerful culture of entrepreneurship," said Adly Hassan, Founding Partner at IGNITE Social Enterprise.

"As IGNITE enters Ghana and the wider SSA market, the priority is clear: operate as a responsible, people-first social ecommerce company that adds real value to consumers, partners, and institutions. That means high-quality wellness and lifestyle products, transparent compensation for our brand affiliates, and a deep commitment to compliance, consumer protection, and collaboration with regulators. With leaders like Bola Ray joining our Global Advisory Board, IGNITE is committed to building a long-term presence in Africa that empowers individuals to own their future with confidence and integrity."

IGNITE said the Ghana launch reflects its belief that economic empowerment should be more accessible, more digital, and more inclusive. By combining product access, education, and a rewarding affiliate opportunity, the company aims to help more people participate in the formal and digital economy regardless of age, educational background, or socio-economic standing.
