Asante Kotoko have reportedly identified Ivorian centre-back Koffi Bini as a potential addition to their squad, with the 24-year-old bringing considerable international club experience despite spending the past year without a club.

Born on December 10, 2001, in Divo, Ivory Coast, Bini stands at an imposing 1.96 metres and is a left-footed central defender.

His height and physical presence make him particularly suited to the demands of defensive football.

Bini began his professional journey in Iraq, where he played for Al-Taqadom before moving to Naft Missan in 2020.

He joined Al-Talaba in August 2021 and subsequently moved to Kuwait’s Al-Jahra in July 2022.

His career then took him to Oman, where he signed for Al-Rustaq in September 2023.

He made his debut for the club against Al-Nasr in September 2023.

In February 2024, Bini moved to the Philippines to join United City FC, before later spending a short spell with Maharlika Manila.

He then moved to Belarusian side FC Smorgon in March 2025.

His most recent competitive record shows five league appearances across the 2024 and 2025 seasons, with two for United City and three for Smorgon, without scoring.

Bini has been without a club since August 2025.

A move to Kotoko would therefore represent an opportunity for the towering defender to restart his career in Ghana and prove himself on one of the country’s biggest football stages.
