The family of the late Apostle Emeritus Professor Ing Kwadwo Safo, together with the management and members of the Kristo Asafo Mission, has expressed profound gratitude to Ghanaians for the overwhelming support, encouragement, and goodwill extended to them throughout the funeral and final transition of the revered industrialist and religious leader.

The appreciation was conveyed by the daughter of the late Apostle, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, during a thanksgiving service held at the Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi to mark the conclusion of the funeral rites.

Addressing a large congregation comprising members of the Kristo Asafo Mission, friends, sympathisers, and admirers of the late Apostle, Adwoa Safo commended Ghanaians for standing firmly with the Kantanka family throughout the funeral process.

She noted that the immense show of solidarity from individuals, institutions, traditional authorities, religious bodies and the general public provided great comfort to the family and contributed significantly to giving the late Apostle a befitting farewell.

The thanksgiving service attracted several prominent personalities, including former Vice President of Ghana and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who paid a glowing tribute to the late Apostle.

Dr Bawumia described Apostle Kwadwo Safo as a father figure who regarded him as one of his sons and consistently offered him guidance, counsel, and encouragement.

He recounted the late Apostle’s unwavering belief in the ability of Africans to solve their own problems, create opportunities, and confront challenges through innovation and self-confidence.

According to Dr Bawumia, Apostle Safo’s life and achievements demonstrated the importance of self-belief, enterprise, and determination in developing solutions that advance society and empower the African continent.

Dr Bawumia was accompanied by his former Chief of Staff, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu; former Minister of State in the Kufuor administration, S.K. Boafo; former Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, Sam Pyne, who is aspiring to become the First National Vice Chairman of the NPP and other dignitaries.

One of the most poignant moments of the thanksgiving service was the appearance of a rainbow in the sky, which generated considerable excitement among members of the congregation.

Many worshippers responded with fervent prayers, interpreting the rainbow as a symbolic and comforting sign during the final transition of the late Apostle and a reflection of the peace and fulfilment with which his earthly journey had come to an end.

The thanksgiving service brought together members of the Kristo Asafo community and sympathisers from across the country to celebrate the life, faith, ingenuity, and enduring legacy of Apostle Emeritus Professor Ing Kwadwo Safo, whose contributions to religion, technology, industry, and national development have left an indelible mark on Ghana.
