The Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr Johnson Pandit Asiama, has paid a courtesy call on the Dormaahene, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, as part of the central bank’s nationwide stakeholder engagements.

Dr Asiama, accompanied by the First Deputy Governor, Dr Zakari Mumuni, members of the Board of Directors, Senior Management and staff of the BoG’s Sunyani Regional Office, visited the Dormaahene on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

The engagement, described as peaceful and successful, formed part of the Bank’s efforts to strengthen its relationship with key stakeholders across the country.



The nationwide engagements are being held in regions where the BoG has offices and include courtesy calls on traditional leaders to express the Bank’s appreciation for their support.

The meetings also provide an opportunity for the central bank to engage traditional authorities and other stakeholders on issues of mutual interest and deepen collaboration at the regional level.

The visit to the Dormaahene is part of the BoG’s broader efforts to maintain strong stakeholder relations as it carries out its mandate of promoting monetary and financial stability in Ghana.
