Founder of Dashen Ministries, Apostle Nat Opare Yeboah, has described the church as "a business," while insisting that it should be understood as a spiritual enterprise rather than a profit-driven commercial venture.

Speaking on Behind the Pulpit with MzGee, the preacher said many people misunderstand the word "business."

"Church is a business. It is a godly business," he stated.

He explained that the root of the word "business" simply refers to an activity that keeps a person occupied.

According to him, ministry requires organisation, administration and financial management like any other institution, but differs because its ultimate purpose is serving God rather than enriching individuals.

Apostle Nat maintained that genuine ministers should not exploit worshippers for personal gain despite churches depending on offerings and tithes to operate.
He criticised individuals who establish ministries solely to make money, saying they prioritise financial rewards above the salvation of believers.

"They don't think about the salvation of the people. They think about what they can get from them," he said.

The pastor also revealed that despite leading a ministry for nearly three decades, he has never received a salary from his church.

Instead, he said, his personal needs have been met through voluntary gifts from people who appreciate his ministry.

He further disclosed that he is not a signatory to the church's bank accounts and that church finances are managed independently to ensure transparency and accountability.
