The Ghana Premier League transfer window is gathering momentum, with several clubs stepping up their recruitment ahead of the 2026/27 season as they look to strengthen their squads.

Transfer updates as reported by sports journalist Shaban Mohammed on several deals already been completed, while a number of other transfers are at advanced stages, with Hearts of Oak, Debibi United, Swedru All Blacks and Asante Kotoko among the clubs actively involved in the latest round of negotiations.

Completed transfers:

Swedru All Blacks have completed the permanent signing of Nations FC defender Michael Abrokwah as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.

Debibi United have also been active in the transfer market, securing the services of Medeama SC right-back Victor Oduro on loan.

The club have further completed the signing of former Asante Kotoko, Karela United and Hohoe United centre-back Maxwell Agyemang.

Debibi United have also reached an agreement with Aduana FC goalkeeper Massawudu Inusah, who has signed a two-year contract with the newly promoted side.

Former Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions forward Kwadwo Obeng Jnr has also completed his move to Debibi United.

Ongoing negotiations

Hearts of Oak have opened negotiations with goalkeeper Kwaku Musah, with talks progressing positively and the shot-stopper expected to sign a contract with the Phobians soon.

The Phobians are also closing in on PAC Academy centre-back Manuel Mantey Gyan, with negotiations between the two clubs progressing positively.

A club to club agreement is almost complete, with final discussions expected to be concluded this weekend before the defender signs for Hearts.

Hearts are also making significant progress in their pursuit of former FC Samartex forward Emmanuel Mamah, with negotiations currently described as positive.

However, the Phobians appear to have suffered a setback in their pursuit of Mustapha Yakubu, whose proposed move has been hijacked by Heart of Lions despite the player having trained with Hearts.

Yakubu is expected to travel to Kpando this weekend to continue negotiations with Heart of Lions.

Elsewhere, former Heart of Lions left-back Bismark Anim has opened negotiations with Asante Kotoko over a possible move. Anim became a free agent after leaving the club at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Hohoe United midfielder John Allosodey is also expected to join Benin side ASPAC FC on a permanent deal, while Hohoe United right-back Prince Amevor is edging closer to a move to Dreams FC, with negotiations advancing positively.

With the new season approaching, clubs across the Ghana Premier League continue to intensify their recruitment efforts, with more deals expected to be completed in the coming days.
