A viral video has emerged on social media, purported to be the final resting place of the late Ghanaian industrialist, inventor, and founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, located at the Apostle Safo Suayɛ Centre of Excellence in Gomoa Mpota in the Central Region of Ghana.
The footage, shared by @infoghana360 on X on July 31, 2026, shows a huge, elegant white multi-storey building with classical columns, arched windows, balconies, and landscaped grounds.
The video also captured people in traditional funeral attire walking around the expansive paved courtyard of the complex while taking pictures.
The site reportedly forms part of the nearly 140-acre industrial and technology hub associated with the Kantanka Group, which includes automobile manufacturing facilities and other research and training operations.
'Would he have died if he had power?' - Video of Kristo Asafo members sparks debate online
Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, widely known as Kantanka or the “Star of Africa,” died on September 11, 2025.
He founded the Kristo Asafo Mission and established the Kantanka Group of Companies, becoming a prominent advocate for indigenous manufacturing, engineering, and technological self-reliance in Ghana and Africa.
His initiatives included the production of locally designed vehicles suited to African conditions, alongside work in electronics, agriculture, and skills training.
The Gomoa Mpota complex was long associated with his industrial vision.
Reports indicate that a memorial edifice or mausoleum had been prepared there to serve as his resting place and to house personal items, tools, inventions, and prototypes as a permanent exhibition of his contribution to Ghana’s industrialisation drive.
