The late founder and leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, will be laid to rest today, Thursday, July 30, 2026, as family members, sympathisers, and well-wishers gather at the funeral grounds at Gomoa Mpota in the Central Region to pay their final respects.

GhanaWeb's team at the funeral grounds captured large crowds of mourners arriving as preparations continue for the burial of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.

The funeral is taking place despite a 10-day interim injunction issued by an Accra High Court restraining former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo from proceeding with the funeral and burial arrangements of her father.
