The World Trade Centre (WTC) Accra recently led a Ghanaian delegation to the Africa Collective Geneva 2026, with the Head of Trade and Investment Services at WTC Accra, Jeffrey Odame Yeboah, representing the organisation at the programme.
Yeboah facilitated engagements between Ghanaian participants and international investors, policymakers, development finance institutions and business leaders to promote trade, investment and business partnerships.
The delegation comprised representatives from the banking, energy, agribusiness, consulting, investment and regulatory sectors.
According to a press release issued on July 6, 2026, WTC Accra established a dedicated Ghana Country Desk to showcase the country’s investment opportunities, export potential and business environment.

The platform highlighted Ghana’s strategic position as the gateway to West Africa and the host country of the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
It also provided opportunities for delegates to engage with investors, financiers, multinational companies and policymakers from Africa, Europe and other parts of the world.
Executive Chairman of WTC Accra, Togbe Afede XIV, said Ghana needed to continue participating actively in international trade and investment platforms.
“As global economic relationships continue to evolve, Ghana must remain actively engaged in international platforms that facilitate trade, investment and strategic partnerships. We are proud that World Trade Centre Accra continues to play a role in creating these opportunities for Ghanaian businesses and institutions,” he said.
Meanwhile, Managing Director of WTC Accra, Yvonne Y. Botchey, said the event demonstrated the growing international interest in African businesses and investment opportunities.

“Africa Collective Geneva demonstrates the growing international interest in African businesses, projects and investment opportunities. Our focus now is to ensure that the relationships established and opportunities identified translate into tangible outcomes for our delegates and for Ghana,” she said.
According to the organisation, the initiative formed part of its broader strategy to promote international trade, facilitate investment, expand market access for Ghanaian businesses and strengthen Ghana’s participation in global trade and investment networks.
