Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson presented the 2026 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

The presentation, which is a statutory requirement, provided Parliament with an update on the country’s economic performance during the first half of the year, as well as the government’s fiscal strategy for the remainder of 2026.

The Mid-Year Budget Review was conducted in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921), which mandates the Finance Minister to report on the implementation of the national budget and provide an outlook for the rest of the financial year.

The review assessed the government’s economic management over the past six months, including developments in revenue mobilisation, public expenditure, debt servicing and the country’s overall fiscal position.
