Minister of Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, will present the 2026 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

The presentation is a statutory requirement that provides Parliament with an update on the country’s economic performance in the first half of the year, as well as the government’s fiscal strategy for the remainder of 2026.

The Mid-Year Budget Review is conducted in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921), which mandates the Finance Minister to report on the implementation of the national budget and provide an outlook for the rest of the financial year.

This year’s review is expected to assess the government’s economic management over the past six months, including developments in revenue mobilisation, public expenditure, debt servicing, and the country’s overall fiscal position.

Dr Forson is also expected to outline the government’s policy direction for the second half of the year and announce possible adjustments to the 2026 Budget in response to prevailing economic conditions.
