Media personality Kwame Mario has advised Frederick Kumi, also known as Abu Trica to consider accepting a plea agreement if it offers him an opportunity to secure a reduced sentence.

Speaking on Angel FM in Kumasi, Kwame Mario said prioritising one’s personal interest in legal proceedings is sometimes the most practical course of action.

“If he loves himself, he should go for a plea deal, which the streets call ‘snitch,’ because it could reduce his sentence,” he said.

According to him, prolonging the legal battle may only worsen Abu Trica’s situation.

“If he stresses the issue, he will be stressed more by the U.S.,” he stated.

Kwame Mario further argued that sacrificing oneself to protect others may not be worthwhile if those individuals continue with their lives while one remains incarcerated.

“If he wants to protect others, he should know that they will continue living their lives while he is in jail. The plea deal will help him,” he added.
