A video circulating on social media has captured the moment some chiefs in the Ahafo Ano South Constituency angrily ejected the area’s Member of Parliament and District Chief Executive (DCE) from a palace meeting.

In the viral video, which has been making rounds on TikTok and was sighted by GhanaWeb on July 14, 2026, the chiefs, together with some youth, were seen expressing their frustration, claiming that the constituency’s MP, Mohammed Yakubu, has failed to meet their expectations since being elected.

The chiefs further alleged that the MP has been involved in promoting illegal mining activities in the constituency.

“We’ve had enough, and we don’t have anything to discuss with them, so they should get up and leave,” they said.

The video also showed some youth hooting at the MP and the District Chief Executive as they left the palace.

The youth are calling on President John Dramani Mahama to intervene and caution the MP.

“We are calling on President Mahama to interview in this matter or else we won’t be able to conduct any election here. We want our constituency to be free from such people,” they added.
