Team Ghana has continued its impressive campaign at the CAA Region II Under-18 and Under-20 Athletics Championships, collecting multiple medals across several events.

Ghana's medal tally continues to grow at the ongoing CAA Region II Under-18 and Under-20 Athletics Championships in Dakar, Senegal, following another successful round of competition.

The country has secured six gold medals so far through Albert Kontoh in the Under-20 men's triple jump, Bossman Kusi Appiah in the Under-20 men's 400 metres hurdles, Blessed Junior Owusu in the Under-18 men's 400 metres, Godfred Opoku in the Under-20 men's 400 metres, and the mixed 4x400 metres relay team.

Ghana has also earned four silver medals. Janet Darkoa finished second in the Under-20 women's 100 metres, while Christiana Eghan claimed silver in the Under-18 women's triple jump with a leap of 12.05 metres, despite competing against a headwind.

The Under-20 women's 4x100 metres relay team also won silver, with Ghana's Under-20 men's 4x100 metres relay team matching that achievement.

Although Aishatu Jaffar and Adelaide Fosuah narrowly missed out on the podium after placing fourth and fifth, respectively, in the Under-18 women's 100 metres, their performances contributed to another encouraging outing for Team Ghana.
