GH Schools, comprising GH Media School, GH Cosmetology School, GH Fashion School, GH Catering School and GH Technology School, has graduated its 21st batch of students during a colourful two-day ceremony held at the institution’s premises at Achimota Abofu Junction.

The graduation ceremony took place on June 26 and June 27, 2026, bringing together students, lecturers, family members, industry stakeholders and distinguished guests to celebrate students who successfully completed their two-year training programmes.

Students from GH Cosmetology School, GH Fashion School and GH Catering School graduated on June 26, while students from GH Media School and GH Technology School graduated on June 27.

The graduates completed training in Media and Technology, Fashion Design and Technology, Catering and Event Management, and Cosmetology. As part of the ceremony, they received certificates, while outstanding students were rewarded with industry tools and equipment to support their transition into the world of work.

Exceptional Cosmetology students received hair dryers, outstanding Fashion students were presented with industrial sewing machines, top Catering students received professional catering equipment, outstanding Media students were awarded laptops, while exceptional Technology students also received industry-relevant tools.

Director-General of the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), Zakaria Sulemana, commended GH Schools for complementing government’s efforts to develop Ghana’s skilled workforce through practical training.

He stressed that the success of technical and vocational education depends on producing graduates who are ready for the job market and called for stronger collaboration between training institutions and industry, particularly through workplace experience learning that exposes students to modern equipment and industry practices before graduation

“There are also private sector institutions like GH Schools that are investing in the training of young people. What will make this training truly successful is ensuring that graduates leave school work-ready,” he said.

Sulemana also praised the institution’s flexible learning model, which allows working professionals to upskill or reskill.

Director of GH Schools, Leslie Addo Listowel, said the institution continues to distinguish itself through competency-based practical training rather than competition with other schools.

According to him, students are required to demonstrate practical competence at the end of every semester before progressing, while training is delivered using industry-standard equipment by experienced professionals.

“Everything the industry is using for production, we have it here. Our lecturers are industry professionals who teach exactly what the industry expects, so our graduates can comfortably fit into the workplace,” he stated.

He encouraged the graduating students to remain focused on excellence and allow their competence to speak for itself.

The two-day ceremony featured certificate presentations, awards and celebrations as graduates marked the successful completion of two years of rigorous training.

The graduation once again underscored GH Schools’ commitment to producing competent, industry-ready professionals through practical, skills-based education while empowering outstanding graduates with the tools needed to establish successful careers.
