'Acts of lawlessness and indiscipline in schools will not be tolerated' - Dr Clement Apaak

The Deputy Minister of Education, Dr Clement Apaak, has assured the public that acts of lawlessness and indiscipline in schools will not be tolerated.

In a Facebook post on June 23, 2026, he stressed that offenders will be duly punished.

“I wish to assure the public that we will not tolerate acts of lawlessness and indiscipline in our educational system. Indiscipline will be punished,” he stated.

His remarks come as the Ghana Education Service (GES) prepares to launch a formal investigation into a viral video showing a student allegedly assaulting a fellow student in a school.

The video, which has widely circulated on social media, captures a student repeatedly attacking another student while others sat and watched the incident unfold. Despite attempts by the victim to move away, the assault continued.
