The Ghana High Commission in Canada has announced that it has been directed by Ghana's Ministry of Sports and Recreation to compile details of Ghanaians interested in attending the Black Stars' FIFA World Cup match against Panama in Toronto.

In a public notice issued on June 8, 2026, the High Commission stated that the Ministry had "directed the High Commission to collect data (email addresses) of Ghanaians in Canada who are interested in attending the football match between Ghana and Panama scheduled to be played on 17th June, 2026 in Toronto, but have no access to tickets."

The notice, signed by Ghana's High Commissioner to Canada, Prof Dora Francis Edu-Buandoh, called on interested Ghanaians to submit their details for consideration.

"In this regard, interested compatriots in Canada should share the following details through ottawa@mfa.gov.gh by 10th June, 2026 for the information and further action by Ghana's Ministry of Sports and Recreation," the statement said.

Applicants are required to provide their full names and email addresses before the stated deadline.

The High Commission expressed appreciation for the cooperation of Ghanaians in Canada, concluding the notice with the message: "Thank you for your cooperation."
