Black Stars head coach, Carlos Queiroz has insisted that football is ultimately judged by results rather than style, following criticism of Ghana's performance in their 1-1 draw against Wales.
The Portuguese coach came under scrutiny after the Black Stars spent long periods without possession and adopted a cautious approach during the friendly in Cardiff.
While some supporters questioned the team's lack of attacking ambition, Queiroz believes winning remains the only statistic that truly matters.
Speaking after the game, the former Portugal and Real Madrid coach dismissed the idea that attractive football should be valued above results.

“I never saw books praising a team playing fantastic football if they don't win the game to get a result,” he said.
Queiroz argued that football history remembers successful teams rather than those that simply entertained.
According to him, supporters ultimately judge teams on victories and achievements, not possession numbers or attacking flair.
The coach pointed to the modern game as evidence that there are different ways to achieve success, with some teams preferring to dominate the ball while others focus on organisation, defensive solidity and efficiency in front of goal.
For Queiroz, the objective remains straightforward.
“When we win I'm happy because when we win the fans are happy, the country is happy,” he explained.
The Black Stars looked set to hand Queiroz a winning start after Caleb Yirenkyi's second-half strike put Ghana ahead. However, Wales rescued a draw through Lewis Koumas deep into stoppage time.
Despite missing out on victory, Queiroz remained focused on the bigger picture as Ghana continue preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
