If you look at the registration numbers of the two vehicles involved in the accident, they were registered more than 30 years ago. I wonder if those cars are still roadworthy. Meanwhile, they travel long distances and are driven as though they were licensed last year. How most, if not all, of such vehicles manage to get roadworthy certificates will forever remain a mystery.

Commercial vehicle drivers have adopted a new way of overtaking on our roads and it is causing a lot of damage but no one seems to care. They start overtaking regardless of any oncoming vehicle and expect the other vehicle in his rightful lane to veer off the road and into the bushes. They don’t care what happens. A truck driver will not take that nonsense and hence multiple deaths on our roads. Interestingly, when a passenger complains about the recklessness of the driver, the other passengers will say he or she is too known until the worst happens. So sad.
