President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama is of the view that Ghana has become a poster boy in economic recovery in Africa.
He says everyone is shocked at the country’s recovery from the economic mess they inherited from the previous government.
President Mahama says during spring meetings, leaders in other countries are asked to come and learn from Ghana.
Indicating that Ghana has achieved her pride of place again.
HE indicated that the macro economy is stable and all the macro indicators are looking very much in the right direction.
"Indeed a lot of people are surprised that how it was achieved. Ghana has become the poster boy for economic recovery across the world and anytime we go for the spring meetings of the world bank and the IMF, everybody is pointing in to the other African countries that go to Ghana and learn how they did it," he said.
"This is the time that "we must be proud to be Ghanaian not only because our economy is doing well but we can see that we are making forward progress towards the country that our forebearers envisaged us to become,” he told Ghanaians in the diaspora.
