Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has beaten Arsenal at Budapest’s Puskás Aréna on Saturday, May 30, 2026, in Hungary to retain the Champions League.
The defending champions needed a penalty shootout to defeat the recently crowned English Premier League winners and win the Champions League after the game ended 1-1 following 120 minutes.
Arsenal took the lead in the first half with a goal from Kai Havertz in the 6th minute.
Ousmane Dembélé equalised with a penalty after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia won a penalty in the 62nd minute, bringing the champions level.
PSG won the shootout by four goals to three, with Eze and Gabriel missing their penalties for Arsenal and Gomez missing for the champions.
PSG became only the second team to win consecutive titles since the competition was reformatted and rebranded in the early 1990s.
The win cements the club's status as one of the greatest in European football history.
