Ghana's preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup gathered momentum on Thursday with the arrival of six more players at the Black Stars camp in Cardiff.
Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Kamal Deen Sulemana, Abdul Mumin, Kwasi Sibo, Jonas Adjetey and Prince Kwabena Adu reported to camp and immediately joined their teammates for training at Dragon Park.
Their arrival takes the number of players in camp to 22 as head coach Carlos Queiroz continues preparations for the international friendly against Wales on June 2.
The latest arrivals add experience and depth across several positions, with goalkeeper Ati-Zigi strengthening the goalkeeping department, while Sulemana, Adu and Sibo provide additional attacking and midfield options.
Defenders Abdul Mumin and Jonas Adjetey also bolster Ghana's defensive ranks ahead of the World Cup.
The players joined a squad that already includes Jordan Ayew, Ernest Nuamah, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Baba Abdul Rahman, Gideon Mensah, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Christopher Bonsu Baah and Elisha Owusu among others.
With the squad nearing full strength, Queiroz is expected to intensify preparations over the coming days, with two training sessions scheduled for Friday as the team builds towards the Wales friendly.
The match will serve as Ghana's final major test before the Black Stars head to North America for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia. The Black Stars will begin their campaign against Panama in Toronto on June 17 before facing England in Boston and Croatia in Philadelphia.
