My brother ghana is a very good place to stay. Go ask the thosands of Nigerians residing in ghana currently. Most of them are here illegally but the people of ghana haven't taken the law onto their hands to beat them up to force them to leave this country. That is the work of the immigration authorities and once in a while they deport some Nigerians. Migration, Emigration and call whatever name is not a crime. It has been with humanity since the beginning of time and you don't have to be poor to decide to migrate to another part of this world. What is happening in South Africa is complete savagery which is supported by their politicians. They have sat down for these March and March criminals to constitute themselves into their immigration authorities and this so sad and unfair considering the support given to the ANC by some of the countries whose citizens they are chasing out of their country today. I totally support Kofi Bentil. Government should not renew the lease of Goldfields. And as for boycotting south african goods, we have done it before during our fight for independence, when Osu Alata Mantse Nii Bonny led the fight to boycott European goods. We must reciprocate the pain they are visiting on Ghanaians and other Africans in equal measure not by beating south africans who are in ghana, but where it will hurt them economically. AMANDLA!!!!!!!

You are right Mad Yaa. I found Kofi Bentil's call rather strange and a "trap" for government when drastic measures are taken. Let us do the right things, right investments and right governance that will keep Ghanaians at home. Honestly I worked in South Africa 2006-2008 (positioned by an international agency) and I noticed the challenges the blacks were going through. It is those unmet needs that have resulted to the xenophobia attitude. I even told friends that, one day the blacks will vote the whites back to power because their leaders were disappointing them.

Please feel sorry for the Black South Africans because they are caught in a vicious cycle of poverty and violence and fellow Black Africans have become convenient and easy targets to vent their frustrations. Once they drive out all these black Africans, many of whom are skilled these mostly poorly educated or illiterate but entitled Black South Africans will be faced with the stark reality of solving their own problems by themselves. We hate to make this prediction- Black South African society which is already fractured by deep ethnic divides further exacerbated by an ever-widening socio-economic gap between the poor and rich is setting itself up for self-destructive internecine conflict and strife.
THIS MAKES SOUTH AFRICA'S SELF-APPOINTED LOUD CHAMPIONING OF THE DISENFRANCHISED AND MISTREATED PEOPLES OF THE WORLD A BIT OF A JOKE.
For sure every nation needs to preserve its border but the wholesale expulsion of all black African nationals (which for now is politically convenient because it distracts angry black poor south Africans who see fellow black Africans as a visible cause of their terrible plight rather than their own black elites who have turned their backs on them) is inexcusable.
CHANNELLING THE ANGER OF THEIR DISENFRANCHISED AND IMPOVERISHED BLACKS TOWARDS BLACK AFRICAN IMMIGRANTS MAY GIVE SOUTH AFRICA’S POLITICAL ELITES SOME BREATHING SPACE BUT IS UNSUSTAINABLE AND WILL COME BACK TO BITE THE POLITICAL LEADERSHIP OF THAT COUNTRY VERY HARD ON THEIR BACKSIDES

Bunch of ignoramus calling themselves expert with zero knowledge. I mean who is the biggest loser when you boycott. Is the kindness of strangers organization you annd your cohort run”able to absorb all these people from the snowballing effect. Have you forgotten what Ghana did to West Africans in the past. is called nemesis. You guys make so much noise with little to show for. Your past leader made same mistakes later went with a cup in arm begging for alms from the imf.You had what is now called Telecel, tigo combined with airtel but barely able to run them instead you run it aground through incompetent government. What exactly do we produce that gives us so much confidence? Is it the importation bills, how many of you even wear natives other than imported cheap clothes. Atleast South Africans are generous, some of you should revisit history and learn from the matemeho people wickedness toward others west Africans or your parents never told you of the alien compliance order. The other time I heard another ignorant Fante man called Ahoi saying if not for the wise Ashanti, Ashanti’s would have form their own Ghana and I asked do you really think the Ewes or Dagombas can’t do same and prosper? Really! I thought Ghanaians are smart but realize loads are bunch of jokers with little to no knowledge in business. Sometimes we do overestimate our might, I am not entirely surprise neither does Ablakwa knows what he is doing. I thought John Mahama is anything better instead he is going down the same empty barrel path would later create more problem for the economy and then run back to imf or Chinese. How laughable would this be. You barely have any equipment made to extract and process anything except through the kindness of others. We have always made so much noise with little to show for it either through per capital income or infrastructure development. How I wish we focus more on actions than noise. Ethiopians are being harassed too but their government is focused, give them few years and you will see not even Kenya will catch up with them in both gdp and per capital income.Nigeria is less noise never has Nigeria defaulted nor run to imf begging to help turn their economy around.Instead the so called noisy neighbor has gone to imf for bailout multiple times. “Quote he who the gods want to destroy they first make him mad” I guess Ghana is in that trajectory again. Tell our small foreign minister with little global economic knowledge to tone down.

Before we rush to suggest boycotting South African goods and services and kicking out their businesses, let’s pause for a moment and think. I am sure most of the employees of these South African businesses are Ghanaians. In all the mobile phone service providers in Ghana, MTN is the best. The Ghanaian operators are not yet there. We should be careful about what we do at this moment. Most of our citizens in South Africa are definitely living and working there illegally. Those professionals in good and well paid jobs are not being harassed. As usual, Ghanaian youths are always chasing greener pastures instead of staying home to help build the country. Honestly, let us evaluate the calibre, quality and educational backgrounds of the evacuees. I am sure most of them only jumped on the bandwagon because they were told they could make easy and fast money in South Africa.
