WHEN I WAS GROWING UP IN THE EARLY 70s I SAW TAXI CARS AND COMMERCIAL BUS OWNERS ABLE TO AFFORD BRAND NEW CARS THROUGH AUTO FINANCING AND THIS ENABLE THOSE WHO ARE INTO TRANSPORT BUSINESS ABLE TO ACQUIRE NEW VEHICLES. AN INDIVIDUAL CAN DRIVE A TAXI CAR FOR ONE TO TWO YEARS AND BUY A BRAND NEW CAR THROUGH AUTO FINANCE THROUGH THE BANKS AND AUTO FINANCE COMPANIES BUT THAT ERA IS GONE. TODAY WE SEE COMMERCIAL VEHICLE OWNERS ESPECIALLY INTERCITY BUSES POPULAR CALLED TROTRO ARE OLD RICKETY AND OVER 15-30 YEARS OLD COMMERCIAL VEHICLES PLYING ON OUR STREETS AND DO NOT EVEN FIT FOR PURPOSE. IT'S SAD, AND ONE OF THE MAIN PROBLEM HAVE TO DO WITH OUR DEPLORABLE ROADS.
