Parliament is set to host the 4th African Inter-Parliamentary Conference on Family and Sovereignty from June 3 to June 6, 2026, at the Accra Ridge Church.

This was contained in a statement issued by Andrew Asiamah Amoako, the
2nd Deputy Speaker and Chairman of the Local Organising Committee on May 23, 2026.

“The high-level continental dialogue will bring together lawmakers, policy experts, academics, civil society leaders and development partners from across Africa and beyond to deliberate on emerging challenges confronting African societies and the collective responsibility of Parliaments in shaping responsive and people-centered policies”, it noted.

These include African cultural identity, family resilience, food sovereignty, data governance, technological transformation, and youth development in an increasingly digital world.

It further noted that,“The Special Guest of Honour will be His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, whose participation is expected to underscore Ghana’s commitment to continental dialogue, democratic governance and Africa-centered policy development“.
