The 2024 presidential candidate of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo, has revealed that he was expelled from three senior high schools due to various incidents, including the misuse of school fees, visiting a girls’ dormitory, and a complaint lodged against him.

In a video shared on X by askghmedia on May 19, 2026, Akpaloo shared details about his experiences in senior high school and explained the reasons behind each expulsion during an interview with Pure FM TV.

He first recounted being expelled from Kumasi Academy while transitioning from Form 2 to Form 3 for misusing school fees.

“Along the line, I dropped out of school to hustle,” he stated.

Akpaloo then transferred to Toase Secondary School, where he was expelled during the second term of Form 3 for visiting the girls’ dormitory.

Afterward, he enrolled at Osei Tutu SHS but faced expulsion once again at the beginning of his time there after an unknown individual confronted the headmaster.

“An unknown man confronted the headmaster and told him to expel me from school because I was a bad influence; otherwise, I would negatively impact his son, so he expelled me,” he explained.

Akpaloo insisted that he could confidently say he did nothing wrong in that school that led to his expulsion.

“I was sacked from Kumasi Academy for spending my school fees, expelled from Toase SHS for visiting the girls’ dormitory, and expelled again from Osei Tutu SHS after a complaint was made against me,” he mentioned.

Following his third expulsion, Akpaloo lost interest in formal education and took up barbering.

“I was very good at it. I can create nice designs for your hair when I barber,” he added.
