New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications Team Member Kwadwo Poku has revealed that the current government must focus on solving national challenges rather than constantly blaming previous administrations.
Speaking on Joy News, monitored by MyNewsGh, Mr Poku argued that the NDC campaigned on promises to fix problems in the country and must now be held accountable for delivering on those promises.
“You campaigned to inherit the government. Ghanaians voted for you. Fix the mess,” he stated.
He accused the NDC of making promises during the campaign period that they are now struggling to fulfil.
“For me, Ghanaians clearly now understand that the NDC hoodwinked them. They really didn’t mean everything they said,” he claimed.
Mr Poku stressed that citizens would judge the government based on current conditions rather than events under the previous administration.
“What Ghanaians are going to judge you on is what is happening now,” he said.
He also argued that political leaders must move beyond complaints and focus on governance.
“It’s not about complaining. It’s about fixing the problems,” he added.
