A man has recounted how his former boss allegedly set him up to be beheaded at a cocoa farm in at an undisclosed village in the country.

According to him, his former boss instructed him to travel to the cocoa farm around 6PM to meet some people.

Narrating the incident in a video shared on X by the State News on May 14, 2026, he said he become suspicious when he arrived at the location, so he decided to hide while waiting.

“He instructed me to go and meet some people at a cocoa farm at a village. That time it was getting to 6PM, so I went to hide under a cocoa tree, and I was lying flat on the ground. So, I get to the destination, I called him on phone that I was at there and he told me he was on his way.

“After some time, I then saw a man there, so my boss called. Apparently, the man told him I was there. Later, others joined. One came to sit on a bench nearby, and my boss called me asking if I was there. He got angry that I had not yet reached the destination. I then saw a man with a sack and a knife, and that was when I realised something was wrong,” he recounted.

The man said his former boss repeatedly called him throughout the ordeal, pretending he could not find him at the location.

However, he later realised that his boss was allegedly never at the cocoa farm, but rather, he alleged that the men were waiting there instead to kill him.
