The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has arrested Queen Amadia, the wife of Nana Yaw Duodu, popularly known as Dr Sledge, who is the CEO of Goldridge Refinery Limited.

OSP arrests prominent businessman Dr Sledge
The source indicated that she was intercepted while attempting to leave the country amid ongoing investigations involving Dr Sledge by the Office of the Special Prosecutor over transactions linked to the Minerals Income Investment Fund.
It will be recalled that the OSP reportedly arrested Nana Yaw Duodu, CEO of Goldridge Refinery Limited, in September 2025, in connection with one of its ongoing investigations.
Reports indicated that he was arrested over suspected corruption and corruption-related offences linked to the Minerals Income Investment Fund, particularly in the management of its gold trade programme.
The reports further stated that the state allegedly lost more than US$94 million due to Goldridge’s failure to honour obligations in trade transactions under the Gold for Forex and Gold for Oil initiatives.
The report added that Dr Sledge was detained after failing to meet his bail conditions.
The OSP, in its half-year report, listed investigations into the Minerals Income Investment Fund among its high-profile cases.
The investigation covers payments linked to Agyapa Royalties, small-scale mining initiatives, lithium and gold projects, board expenditures, land acquisitions, and related contracts between 2020 and 2024.
According to the OSP, the probe focuses on suspected corruption and corruption-related offences regarding MIIF’s operations within the period under review.
The investigations particularly involve payments made in connection with Agyapa Royalties Limited, the Small-Scale Mining Incubation Programme (SSMIP), the Quarry Value Addition Programme (QVAP), lithium asset investments, the Enchi Gold Project, other MIIF investments, funds expended on the Chairman of the Board of Directors, MIIF operational funds, land acquisition for an intended office building, as well as contracts and agreements entered into by MIIF.
