What is the meaning of this article, and who is that, Victor? Today's date is May 12th, 2026, and this Victor is trying to do what exactly about an even that happened in 2010?

  • FRANKIE 4 days ago

I don't even see where Stephen Appiah comes into the picture it was Dominic Adiyiah who headed the goal bound ball so irrespective of Stephen's position (onside due to Suarez and the other player's position) the ball would ha ...

This 'analysis' is mite and not of any relevance. If VAR were to available today 2 goals against GH at the 2006 WC would have been ruled out!

  • P Djamgbe 4 days ago

This South American (Uruguayan, probably) thinks he can do this voodoo analysis and make himself feel better, ofuii!

  • Pelicles. 4 days ago

That Victor or whatever is name, is trying to prove that he understands football more than us.

He is fixated on Appiah's position forgetting that two Uruguayans players were in the post.

  • Dr. Goodfellow 4 days ago

But who is this idiot Uruguayan illiterate. You see two opposing Uruguay players at goal posts, don't you? Get lost. It took you 16 years to cook up this blabber dash? Exactly!

  • sotrue 3 days ago

    a very stupid senseless article.

  • Kiki 4 days ago

Let's move on... This will not change anything because GFA does not learn. Bring back the colts system, so that we will have more young Essiens, Appiahs, and Muntaris to replace aging black star players.

The real analysis should be whether the ball crossed the line before Suareze touched. Not this offside nonsense!

  • Vine 4 days ago

You're right cuz from reverse angle replay one could see the ball crossed the line before Suarez palmed it back, so it should have been ruled as goal instead of penalty

  • Kofi Ata, Cambridge, UK 4 days ago

Nonsense, when Suraez is ahead of Stephen Appiah. How could that be offside?

Appiah was in an offside position when he received the ball from a header by John Mensah.

  • Neb 3 days ago

The analysis is not definitive. First the assumption Appiah was ahead of the Uruguayan player. Second, that the goalkeepers hand touching the ball was not deliberate. There was no VAR in 2010.

  • Aduanaba, 21 hours ago

You are right. Keeper's involvement may be a determining factor. Wascit deliberate or accidental?

  • Stupidity 3 days ago

Tell that stupid, so called referee that it wasn't Appiah that headed the ball over the line, which was supposed to be called a goal, by the way.

  • BS 3 days ago

Why was Ghana awarded a penalty then?

  • Bitam Lari 2 days ago

There was no VAR then, so this referee cannot use today's VAR line technology to claim that this marginal marginal one was a clear 100% offside.
