The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company, Kobby Mensah, has been named among the 2026 Twelve Leaders Shaping Place Branding by The Place Brand Observer (TPBO).
The recognition makes him the only West African tourism development executive in this year’s global cohort.
In a post shared on the Facebook page of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) on May 11, 2026, it noted the recognition of the School’s Professor of Marketing is a reflection of his work in tourism development, destination branding, and marketing scholarship.
It further noted that his work demonstrates a link between academic research and industry practice.
