‎Former Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan has urged Ghanaians to rally behind new Black Stars coach Carlos Queiroz ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

‎Queiroz, who previously coached Egypt, Iran and Colombia, was appointed on a four-month contract following the dismissal of Otto Addo in March.

‎Speaking in an interview on Channel One TV, Asamoah Gyan praised Queiroz’s pedigree and called on fans to show respect and support to the experienced tactician.

‎“Bringing in a new coach, we shouldn’t look down on the coach because he is one of the best coaches when we talk about CVs and everything,” Gyan said.

‎The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama for the 2026 World Cup.
