A thanksgiving service is being held at St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church in Kumasi in commemoration of the 76th birthday of His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The event has drawn together traditional leaders, government officials, clergy, and members of the public to celebrate his life and reign.

It also commemorates 27 years of his ascension to the Golden Stool, marking a significant milestone in his leadership of the Ashanti Kingdom.

The service, held in honour of the Asantehene’s birthday, is marked by prayers, thanksgiving, and reflections on his leadership, wisdom, and contributions to the development and unity of the Ashanti Kingdom and Ghana as a whole.

The ceremony will also offer prayers for his continued good health, long life, and sustained leadership as he continues to play a central role in chieftaincy affairs and national development.
