Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko has declared his intention to rebuild and strengthen the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as he eyes the position of National Chairman ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Speaking to members of his Ashanti Regional Campaign Team and party supporters on Monday, May 4, 2026, Agyarko stressed the need for the party to return to its core values and reconnect with its grassroots base to regain electoral strength.
According to a report by adomonline.com on May 5, 2026, he also pledged to lead a reconciliation process to address internal divisions within the party.

“We had a solid candidate but a weak party. My duty when I become National Chairman is to rebuild the party so Mahamudu Bawumia can lead us to victory in 2028,” he stated.
Agyarko further reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with Dr Bawumia to promote unity and improve the NPP’s chances in the next elections.
He was accompanied at the engagement by F F Antoh, Joseph Osei Owusu, Henry Quartey, Alex Tetteh and other members of his campaign team.
