Dr Agyeman-Rawlings, who is the MP for Klottey Korle, won by a margin of 131 votes to 51.
“This is the equivalent of a 2nd Deputy Speaker of the Pan African Parliament in Johannesburg,” Dafeamekpor wrote in his post.

“By this feat, she represents the West African Caucus as its first female representative in that role in the history of Pan African parliamentary politics,” he added.
He concluded his post with a reflection on the weight of the Agyeman-Rawlings name across the continent.
