Senior Presidential Aide and Advisor to President John Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, has expressed strong optimism about Ghana’s development prospects, citing ongoing infrastructure projects as key to the country’s economic transformation.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, she underscored the significance of the government’s “Big Push” road programme, describing it as a major intervention expected to improve connectivity and reshape the national transport network.
According to her, the scale of the initiative will have far-reaching implications for trade, mobility, and overall national development, positioning the country for sustained growth.

Mogtari also highlighted the planned expansion of the Accra International Airport, noting that it will enhance Ghana’s competitiveness in the aviation sector and strengthen its role as a regional hub.
She explained that improved aviation infrastructure will boost tourism, facilitate commerce, and deepen international business linkages, contributing to broader economic gains.
“The Big Push Roads will totally change the landscape of our beloved country, Ghana; the Accra International Airport expansion will improve Ghana’s competitiveness in air travel, and Ghana will finally achieve full middle-income status!” she wrote, expressing confidence in the long-term impact of the projects.
