The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, is delivering an update as part of the ongoing “Accountability Series,” aimed at engaging the public on government performance and policy direction in the energy sector.
The development follows a fire outbreak at the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) substation at Akosombo, which has caused major disruptions to power supply across the country.
The session provides a platform for the minister to outline ongoing reforms, address challenges within Ghana’s energy landscape, and respond to questions from stakeholders and the general public.
Dr Jinapor is expected to address key issues, including power generation, energy transition policies, and efforts to ensure a sustainable and reliable electricity supply nationwide.
The Accountability Series forms part of the government’s broader efforts to promote transparency and strengthen public trust by offering citizens direct access to government officials and their work.
