‘Don’t claim NPP poisoned John Kumah without proof’ – NPP’s Beatrice Siaw

Beatrice Siaw says it is blasphemous to make such claims without proof Beatrice Siaw says it is blasphemous to make such claims without proof

Beatrice Siaw, an aspiring parliamentary candidate for the NPP in the Asante Mampong constituency, exchanged words with a woman who asserted that the New Patriotic Party poisoned the late Ejisu MP, John Kumah.

Her response follows a viral video circulating on social media capturing a banter between her and an unidentified woman.

In the video, the woman insists that the NPP poisoned John Kumah, citing comments allegedly made by Oheneba Nana Asiedu, a presenter with Wontumi Radio and Television, as the basis for her claim.

Beatrice Siaw, however, in the banter rejected the allegation, cautioning the woman against making such serious accusations without evidence.

Addressing her directly, she stated, “You don’t have any proof to say that the NPP poisoned John Kumah. Don’t say that; that is blasphemy.”

Insider details on how and when John Kumah was allegedly poisoned

The controversy traces back to March 2024, when Oheneba Nana Asiedu publicly alleged that food poisoning caused the death of the former Deputy Finance Minister.

According to him, he was present alongside Chairman Wontumi and John Kumah when they reportedly consumed the food in question.

Despite these claims, an autopsy later dismissed the poisoning narrative.

A certified pathologist who conducted the examination concluded that John Kumah’s death was not the result of poisoning but was instead caused by Multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer.
