The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Engineers and Planners (E&P), Ibrahim Mahama, has announced plans to build Astroturfs across Damang to improve sporting activities.

E&P officially took over the Damang Mine in a ceremony held on Saturday, April 18, 2028. The event took place at the mine site in Damang, where the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, led by Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, formally handed over the concession to E&P following its successful bid.

The company will manage the Damang Mine for a specified period in line with its agreement with the government.

Addressing the public, the business mogul revealed that he had received a message from a young man in the area urging him to build Astroturfs in various communities to enhance sporting events.

Ibrahim Mahama noted that he has acknowledged the request and has already initiated steps to construct the sporting infrastructure to benefit residents, while calling on the people to support his vision.

“I would say that if we all put our minds together, this is a success story. And the plan I have for Damang is not a joke, I just want us to invest in ourselves in this country. I want to pledge and say it for everybody to hear. I got a text from one of our young men here saying we should build Astroturfs for all the communities, which we are looking to do,” he said.
