So where are our farmers? Is the minister scared of them? A private company to produce tomatoes?? Some of us know that the minister is under serious pressure from Ghanaians when it comes to the production of tomatoes and other basic farm products. He's always shifting the goalposts and making excuses. Tell us the truth. Is it because of the loan conditionalities from the IMF and World Bank? Do not go into farming but keep importing?

How did we get the 200,000 tons annually? if the production is 20tons per hour, with even 3 shifts in a day, only 480 tons (20tons x 8hrs x 3 shifts) can be used in a day. Assuming production is done non-stop (no holiday, non stop for maintenance and service, no domsor), we should have 365days x 480tons. this will be 175,200tons. I think we should be targeting 150,000tons maximum.
