Ghanaian coach, Christopher Nimley has alleged that the Black Stars will not get the services of multiple AFCON winner Hervé Renard due to the actions of certain officials at the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

According to Christopher Nimley, the French coach was willing to jump ship from Saudi Arabia to Ghana but opted out after receiving a 'disrespectful' offer from the Ghana Football Association.

Speaking on Citi Sports, Nimley claimed that the 2015 AFCON winner was willing to take the Black Stars to the 2026 FIFA World Cup and also lead them to two Africa Cup of Nations.

"Due to some diabolical orchestration by certain people at the FA, Hervé Renard will not be taking us to the World Cup. He showed interest in the Black Stars job."

"He was coming for long term and not short term. He said he will take us to the World Cup and target the next two AFCONS because we have gone too long without a trophy," he said.

Nimley added that negotiations collapsed because the GFA offered to pay the French coach $50,000 as monthly salary.

This to Nimley, was a clear sign that the GFA had no intention of working with Hervé Renard, despite the government’s approval of his requested $150,000 monthly salary.

"So how come the man was told that he will be paid $50,000 when the government has agreed to pay the man $150,000."

"Even Otto Addo..you gave him 50,000..how much more Hervé Renard?” coach Christopher Nimley said on Citi Sports.
