President John Dramani Mahama has begun a one-day official visit to Paris in France.
He was accorded a full state welcome with military honours at Les Invalides in Paris ahead of his official meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
The ceremony, which was marked by rich tradition and precision, underscored the enduring diplomatic ties between the two countries.
The two leaders are expected to engage on key areas of bilateral cooperation and global partnership.
President Macron invites President Mahama to France for high-level talks
The talks are expected to focus on deepening Ghana–France relations, with discussions covering sectors such as health, education, trade, investment and regional security.
Ahead of the bilateral meeting, President Mahama will also meet Gérard Larcher at the French Senate, as part of efforts to strengthen parliamentary and institutional ties between the two countries.
