Agenda Against Top Ceps Officials Exposed

...Anas ,Kweku Baako fingered

...As Secret agents busted @Tema Harbour confess and cry like babies

Opposition element’s agenda to destroy Government through secret agents in the media led by Anas Armeyaw Anas of the Crusading Guide has been exposed. The agenda targeted at the security services, especially the Custom Excise and Preventive Service Officials (CEPS) started as soon as the Mills led-administration took over the governance of the country from the New Patriot Party (NPP) in 2009.

The modus operandi involves deploying secret undercover agents at strategic operational areas of the service under the pretext of carting goods across the boarder or looking for cars to buy and therefore an official is needed to speed up processes through inducement. It is believed that conversations are filmed and recorded as evidence of bribery and corruption against officials and the government.

Information available to The Daily Democrat reveals that two secret agents working for the group and were busted at the Tema Harbour have confessed their sins and pleaded for forgiveness from the CEPS officials who were the target of the clandestine operation(s). The ladies operating as Mame Afua and Mame Esi have been on counter surveillance by security operatives at the harbour until they reached the climax of their dirty attempt to implicate some customs officials through filming and recording that would have been altered to legitimize it.

According to a source, Mame Esi known as Jennifer Anderson and Mame Afua also called Rukaya Musa started crying like babies when they were arrested by the security operatives at the Harbour and confessed that they were actually working for Anas and the New Crusading Guide Newspaper.

They were, however, inconsistent on who gave them the recording devices. Jennifer said she purchased it at Keneshie market but later said it was given to her by a sister and finally drops the bombshell that it was given to her by Anas Aremeyaw of The new Crusading Guide newspaper owned by Malik Kwaku Baako, a sworn critic of the government.

These undercover agents were arrested on Wednesday, 11th August, 2010 when Jennifer and Rukaya were at the Habour in pursuit of an alleged auction car and goods as an alibi to bribe top custom officials, capture the act on film and help Anas and his master authenticate their corruption crusade against customs officials.

Source close to the Tema regional police revealed that the ladies were first sent to the BNI by the port security before handing them over to the police. Anas, whose recent operations at border towns concerning cocoa smuggling involving CEPS operatives were received with mixed reactions. Anas’ investigative exploits were touted by the Kufuor led-government yet he failed to investigate a single corruption involving government officials when corruption was rife under the NPP administration.

It is alleged that some government officials behind Anas’ Anti-CEPS agenda were also behind the quick release of the secret agents on the very Wednesday they were arrested.

Rukaya Musa was using a button-like camera found hidden in a handkerchief and had numerous recordings of security personnel operating at the terminal, which is a restricted security zone.

Jennifer’s camera, which she used to film and record security officers and customs officials on duty at restricted zones looks like a lady’s purse. When the paper contacted the Tema Regional Police Commander, ACP Augustine Gyenning, he confirmed the arrest and said the suspects are on bail while the police continue with their investigations.

The suspects, he said, were brought to the Police from the Tema BNI office. Calls to the Editor-in-Chief of The New Crusading Guide, Kwaku Baako, were picked by an answering system of the phone while calls to Anas Armeyaw’s cell failed to go through. Stay tuned
