The Land Division of the Accra High Court has issued a perpetual injunction against retired Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Frank Hanson, and some serving military officers, restraining them from entering or interfering with a disputed parcel of land at Tse Addo.

According to a report by graphic.com.gh on March 30, 2026, the ruling, delivered by Justice Abena Oppong a Justice of the Court of Appeal sitting as an additional High Court judge, found that the defendant failed to provide evidence supporting his claim that the plaintiff’s grantors lacked the authority to transfer ownership of the land.

In a judgment dated February 26, 2026, the court held that Air Vice Marshal Hanson had unlawfully interfered with the property and failed to justify his actions.

“It is clear from the evidence that the defendant interfered with the disputed land. He has since failed to justify his intentions on the plaintiff’s land,” the judge ruled.

The court also awarded GH¢10,000 in damages against the retired military officer for deploying serving soldiers to trespass on the land and harass the plaintiff, even after judgment had been delivered.

Additionally, the court ordered Hanson to remove a container placed on the land said to contain offensive materials at his own expense.

The plaintiff, Adolf Tetteh Adjei, Managing Director of Sapholda Ventures Limited, was declared the rightful owner of the 2.40-acre property and granted full possession.

Adjei had filed separate suits against Hanson and Wing Commander John William Quainoo (rtd), accusing them of trespassing.

He sought, among other reliefs, a court order compelling the removal of the container and a perpetual injunction to prevent any further interference with the land.
